Counter Staff

We are looking for a focused and conscientious individual to join our counter staff team. You will be on the front counter, directly dealing with customers of all types. 

DUTIES 

• Serving customers over the counter using our EPOS system, following shop policies and guidance.
• Taking telephone calls.
• Processing website orders.
• Purchasing goods for stock replenishment.
• Listing products onto our website and updating stock levels.
• Booking deliveries with couriers and planning routes for our vehicle.
• Replenishment of goods and putting deliveries away around the counter area.
• Assist the warehouse team if and when this is required.  

This is not an exhaustive list, but are the main day to day tasks required for this position.

REQUIREMENTS

As this is a customer facing role, and one of responsibility within the company, we are looking for people with the following qualities:

• A good level of general mathematical ability.
• Reliable, honest and trustworthy.
• A good communicator.
• Focused and conscientious.
• Work with a high level of accuracy and problem solving.
• Willing to learn the required product knowledge.

Experience with cash handling and working in a similar environment would be desirable, but by no means essential for the right person. 

WORKING TIMES

The working times for this position are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Once up to speed, you will also be required to go on a rota for Saturday 8am to 1pm.
