Below is the information for our Christmas opening times, along with the important dates for courier deliveries.
Christmas Opening Times
As normal up to the 22nd December
23rd December : Open 8:00am - 4pm on skeleton staff
24th - 28th December : Closed
29th December : Open 8:00am - 3pm on skeleton staff
30th December : Open 8:00am - 3pm on skeleton staff
31st December and 1st January : Closed
2nd January : Open 8:00am - 3pm on skeleton staff
3rd January : Open 8:00am - 1pm on skeleton staff
When we are open on skeleton staff, all basic cutting services (sheets, timber to length, width and thickness) remain operational, but some higher level orders (rebates, bevels, rounds, firrings etc) may not be available depending on the staff that are present on that day.
Courier Information
During the Christmas break, couriers also shutdown. Below are the details as we expect them. We cannot guarantee delivery. We can only guarantee dispatching the item to target delivery for certain days. The checkout is restricted so it should only offer/show the appropriate services and delivery times.
Next working day (DX Freight) - This company will be delivering up to the 23rd December before Christmas. The last dispatch day to give the possibility of delivery in 2025 would be the 22nd December, ordered BEFORE 12 noon. Items ordered after 12noon on 22nd December, would be targeted for 5th January. Anything ordered AFTER this cutoff, will be processed on our full return to work on the 5th January and unless requested otherwise would be targeted for delivery on the 6th January.
EVRI - 3-5 working Day Service - As this is a range of days, we cannot be specific on delivery day. We would recommend giving the max amount of time you can for your order to arrive if its needed before Christmas, as this courier gets VERY busy at Christmas time and unfortunately WILL have delays. This courier will also be delivering between Christmas and new year. Anything ordered on this service between 12 noon on the 22nd December and 4th January will not be dispatched until Monday 5th January.
Royal Mail Services - These will be dispatched up to the 22nd December on Royal Mail 24. Please allow a bit of grace on top of the normal Royal mail timings as they are VERY busy at Christmas time. Anything ordered on this service between 12 noon on the 22nd December and 4th January will not be dispatched until Monday 5th January.
Local Delivery - Our last delivery day for our local service (our own van) will be Friday 19th December. Orders must be placed before 2pm on the 18th December for the last delivery day. Our local delivery service will then restart on 6th Jan.
Mileage delivery - This service will run as normal, but will only be offered when we are open to dispatch the items. This is also strictly subject to the couriers own availability on those days, and our own time in preparing the goods, so we cannot guarantee it will be possible.
7 working day courier - This service will not operate over the Christmas break.
